• Payment information: Payment details are collected and processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or other payment credentials on our servers. We retain only the Stripe customer ID and subscription ID necessary to manage your account.
• Communications: Any emails or support requests you send to us

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data: Login timestamps, scan report requests, drilldown requests, and refresh activity associated with your account
• Audit logs: IP address, login attempts, and account actions for security purposes

We do not use tracking cookies, third-party analytics services, or advertising pixels on the client portal.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Deliver scan reports, drilldowns, and other analytics to your email address
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send transactional emails (subscription confirmations, trial expiry reminders, payment receipts)

We do not use your information for marketing purposes or to send promotional emails unrelated to the Service.

• Stripe — payment processing, subscription billing, and invoice generation
• Microsoft Azure — cloud infrastructure hosting (servers, database, email delivery via Outlook/Graph API)
• DataBento — market data feeds (no personal information is shared with DataBento)

We may also disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FischerQuant, our users, or the public.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information:

• All data in transit is encrypted via TLS
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with per-user salts
• Database access is restricted to authenticated services with managed credentials
• Multi-factor authentication (TOTP) is available for portal accounts
• Administrative access requires separate authentication and is logged

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

• Active accounts: Your data is retained for the duration of your subscription.
• After cancellation: Your account data and scan archive are retained for 90 days, then permanently deleted.
• Audit logs: Security logs (login attempts, IP addresses) are retained for 12 months, then purged.
• Payment records: Transaction records are retained as required by applicable tax and accounting laws (typically 7 years).

6. Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
